From February 17 to 19, the Fusion Science School was held in Kyoto, organized by the Fusion Engineering Division of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan.
This event was designed for university students and technical college students interested in fusion who have not yet joined a research lab, as well as researchers and industry professionals.
On the second day, February 18, Helical Fusion’s Vice CTO, Takuya Goto, gave a lecture titled How to Design a Fusion Reactor to an audience of over 60 participants, primarily students.
Helical Fusion is one of the few companies in the world with researchers capable of designing an entire fusion power plant.
Participants shared positive feedback, such as:
“I’m glad I had the opportunity to hear from a startup company.”
“It was valuable to learn about reactor design concepts and approaches.”
At Helical Fusion, we are committed not only to achieving the world’s first fusion power generation by 2034 and its subsequent commercialization but also to nurturing the next generation of talent who will shape the future of the fusion industry. We will continue these efforts in the years to come.
