The Super Degree Programs invite top lecturers not only from academia but also from industry and government sectors. The program offers graduate and undergraduate students from the Schools of Engineering, Economics, Law, and Science a chance to learn about global issues beyond the boundaries of their departments.

We were honored to be invited to speak on fusion energy as a potential new energy source capable of addressing global challenges.

The students asked sharp and insightful questions ranging from technical aspects and key milestones for commercialization to startup management. It was a stimulating exchange that also provided valuable takeaways for Helical Fusion.

Helical Fusion and Nagoya University

The Helical-Stellarator being developed by Helical Fusion builds upon approximately 70 years of accumulated research in plasma physics, reactor design, and engineering. This legacy stems from world-class institutions, the National Institute for Fusion Science (NIFS) in Gifu Prefecture, as well as its predecessors, including the Institute of Plasma Physics at Nagoya University, the Plasma Physics Laboratory at Kyoto University, and the Institute for Fusion Theory at Hiroshima University.
