Our Co-Founder, CEO, Takaya Taguchi, took the stage as a Finalist in the Climatech Challenge, presenting our vision for the world’s first steady-state commercial fusion reactor.
Following an intense 10-minute pitch, the audience cast their votes, selecting Helical Fusion as the winner—a strong endorsement of our mission and approach.
The award was presented by Alaa El Batal, First Undersecretary and Supervisor of HSE, Energy Efficiency, and Climate at Egypt’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, underlining the growing recognition of fusion energy’s role in the global energy transition.
During the Q&A session, judges raised key questions on our commercialization strategy and international partnerships, offering a valuable opportunity to showcase the meticulous planning and solid foundations behind our bold goal: delivering a commercially viable fusion power plant within the next decade.
Winning this award at a global platform attended by MENA’s key energy leaders is a significant milestone for Helical Fusion.
