On September 16, 2025, Kenichi Kaneta, Chief Researcher of the Heating System team at Helical Fusion, spoke at the SIMULIA Community Conference Japan 2025, hosted by Dassault Systèmes, a global leader in simulation-based engineering software.

In his presentation titled “Development of Heating Devices for Fusion Reactors Using Integrated Simulation-Based Design,” Kaneta introduced Helical Fusion’s approach to leveraging advanced simulation tools provided by Dassault Systèmes to accelerate the development of auxiliary systems—including heating components essential to plasma confinement—while minimizing physical prototyping and testing.

At Helical Fusion, we are maximizing the benefits of digital engineering to pursue high-performance, cost-effective designs, not only for the core reactor but for all supporting systems. These efforts are all directed toward our goal of achieving commercial fusion power generation in the 2030s.

The session highlighted how cutting-edge simulation technologies are being applied in next-generation fields like fusion energy, leaving a strong impression of the steady progress we’re making toward real-world implementation.
