On September 26, Helical Fusion Co-Founder & CEO Takaya Taguchi took the stage at Swiss-Japan Energy Days 2025, an international event held at the Consulate of Switzerland / Swissnex in Japan and organized in connection with the Osaka-Kansai Expo. The event brought together key opinion leaders from government, large corporations, and startups to explore innovative solutions to pressing energy challenges.

Switzerland is advancing its carbon-neutral agenda through diverse approaches—not only by leveraging renewable energy and optimizing its power grid, but also by operating the Tokamak à Configuration Variable (TCV) for fundamental fusion research. Combined with a vibrant startup ecosystem, these efforts are creating new avenues for collaboration with Japan in science and technology.

As the only fusion company participating in the program, Helical Fusion presented the distinctive advantages of the Helical Stellarator and shared our vision for a pathway to commercialization.

We value this opportunity to engage in Swiss–Japanese collaboration and remain committed to advancing our work toward the world’s first commercially viable steady-state fusion power plant.
